Senior Stylist - independent
Greg Yee embarked on his hairdressing career in 1980’s Christchurch. The glamour and sophistication of hairdressing intrigued Greg – who at the time sported a bowl cut – but also plenty of talent and enthusiasm.
Majoring in sculpture, Greg had always been interested in art, and hairdressing became a natural extension of his craft – another material he could work with, change and sculpt.
Greg’s natural aptitude for cutting with a keen eye earned him recognition on the competitive stage. He was known for smashing the rules and pre-empting the trends.
Growing disillusioned with the fashion industry and its obsession with size six, Greg’s philosophy today focuses on keeping it real – staying connected with nature and his craft.
In his downtime
